Pay It Forward
In a total distressed state, I walked into the UPS Store on Government Street on Thursday. Completely frustrated and aggravated I decide I would price (and pay for out of my pocket) a rather extensive packing project for which I was told to "get creative". John, store owner, could sense my {insert whatever emotion here} and offered to not only reduce the price significantly but also to pick up the equipment to be packed, pack it at his store and deliver it to the place it will be picked up (delivery project, not shipping)! He went on to tell me he had a rather intense day the day before and was relieved when someone came to his aid. He felt it was his turn to do something nice for someone. I was the lucky recipient. Thank you, John. You saved me from a complete panic attack! Several of my blog readers know just how close I was to reaching my breaking point that day from phone conversations with me...
