Dinner with Pipper

Pip called yesterday afternoon to announce his return to town and ask if Chris and I could join him for dinner. Chris was working, so I went solo. We decided to meet at Capital City Grill...yummy! There were tons of people out last night around downtown. We dined outside because it was so nice out. Was Pip hitting on the waitress? Hmm... A couple of salads and a couple of beers later we decide to walk over to Red Star to meet Collin and Lars. Chit chat between Pipper and Collin about Wal-Mart and their dominance in the marketplace about put me to sleep so I decided to call it an early night. I am so angry at myself this morning because I failed to remember my favorite guitar player, Cam Pyle, was actually playing downtown at The Roux House last night...dang! I can't believe I forgot that. It only happens once a month and is always such a good time. Pipper was looking for something fun to do too. Oh well, there is always next time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAPPY HOLLY! Does your mom still have that picture and if so is there maybe a copy floating around that isn't 18 x 20? I would loved to have been able to scan that in as photo du jour...lol. Love Ya, xoxoxoxo

What are those things in the bowl on the table? Taters? Some sort of breaded something or other?

Happy birthday HollyBof! Drink several drinks for me, and I shall raise a bottle of beer in your honor this evening.

And Jen - is that a citrus on the rim of your glass? Doesn't that violate one of your numerous food rules?

You actually know someone named Lars? Really?

jennifer elizabeth keen said...

Yes, lol Nat! He is exactly what you would picture a Lars to be like.

Thanks Jen for the bday wishes. Now I just need to muster up the energy to celebrate. This is what I was thinking:
1. Run on the levee after having eaten nearly a half dozen homemade chocolate chip cookies (thanks Miss B) and Mike Anderson's special for lunch, shouldn't be a problem with the current sweltering hot temperature, geez!
2. Shower and attempt to nail down dinner plans if there are any with Coach Bof and the gang. He has till 6 to make a decision otherwise I'm off to Happy Hour.
3. Drink until the sun goes down and proceed downtown where if Serio is anywhere near me I'll probably take several jagerbomb shots. Jen will pull out her handy camera in hopes of commemorating this event with embarrassing party pics that I hope I don't find in next weeks issue of Tiger Weekly. More likely I'll be posted all over Facebook and this blog

How am I doing so far??

Freakin' Funny Bof. Where is Coach taking you?

hollybof said...

Don't know yet, he's waiting for Becky to get off work. I should know something either way by 6. Are you going to still be at work or at HH?

jennifer elizabeth keen said...

Hmmmm, not sure yet. I should know by about 4:30. Waiting on Will, the IT guy to show up.

Okay, at that time I may be passed out atop the levee so if you don't hear from me by 5:30 send out a search party! Otherwise, I should know my plans by then and I'll let you know, my love, haha
