Au revoir Chuck P!

My happy hour buddy from Red Star, Chuck P., is moving to NOLA. So sad. Chuck has given me hours of amazing and insightful conversation. The stories are always interesting (my favorite is the D-Day Museum story, that was awesome!!!). Chuck is a lover of history and shares a piece most days I see him. He often tells me hello or goodbye in French. He must leave Red Star when it gets too loud. He always has a smile. He has a the same dislike for a certain person as I (the only one in this world - I could use the "H" word here, but this is my pleasant post about Chuck). He drinks Miller High Life draft. He is friendly with everyone. He is one of the greatest story tellers I have known (did I already mention that one?)!

Chuck,
While I will miss you and all of the stories and great conversation, I know you are moving to a city rich in all things you love. Enjoy it and write a book!

à bientôt

PS - The Boydster and I will come visit!

Merci beaucoup, Jen!

I'm going to have to find an apartment in New Orleans with a big room where I can put up rows of bunk beds for all the people who want to come visit.

In the meantime, look for me at The Spotted Cat or DBA or Molly's at the Market... at least until I find new places to hang out. I plan to hit all the places in the "Obituary Cocktail" book.

A demain, mon cher.

Chuck

The best friendships are the ones that transcend geography, and it sounds like that what you have with Chuck P. The french is so charming.

Can I be the event planner for the fancy book signing?

I am forever a fan of a good story, and I have never seen the museum in question, but have only heard wonderful things about it.

Bottom's up to Chuck!
