Thanks HHB for the loaner. I saw this movie quite some time ago and really enjoyed it. I remember telling AS he should watch it. Halfway through the movie, he called his brother (CS) to tell him to tell me he would never rent a movie I suggested again! He hated it. Just goes to show you how people's taste in film and books can be soooo very different. I thought the movie was brilliant and hope the book is not a let down since I saw the movie first (which I never do!!!).
Stroll to the grocery for a cup of joe and walked to Farmer's Market. Bloody Mary mix and spicy green beans were purchased but I have no vodka at home. Need to do something about that today. I also found a jewelry designer who can give me a chain for the "J" pendant I bought in Fairhope on vacation!!! Working for a bit this morning. Meeting up with about 10-12 girlies for lunch at Zea then we will see Mama Mia! The rest of the afternoon/ evening yet to be determined. However Julie is really pushing for me to see Meriweather play at the Caterie tonight with her. I will have to think through that one. I will have to commit to taking a cab since it is not within walking distance of my place.
I had a really good time last night...dining at BJ's Brewhouse, a drink at the Happy Note, followed by live music at the all-new Piano Nite at the Roux House... :) PS - Restaurant did not look like photo last night.
Met Laura B. for Happy Hour at Red Star (HH starts at 3 now!). I laughed so much at Jeff and Darren telling tales of a funny character who used to walk the streets of downtown that we all knew. Viva Vido! He looked and dressed something like the post photo...
Many thanks to Thomas for introducing Nat Rat, K-Fed and I to this lovely diner/ cajun dancing establishment. Beer is only available in 10 oz cans at this place! I emailed ND the pics because I am hoping she blogs about this one...
